![]() ![]() If the infantry at the docks give you trouble, build a commando. Researching their railgun upgrade makes the whole ordeal even easier. About 20 Predators or 5 Mammoth tanks should suffice to overwhelm it. If you think it's hard, just wait until you get to Croatia (GDI) or "Operation Stiletto" (Nod).Īnyway, just expand to the northern tib field as soon as you can (but don't send a surveyor up alone, at least send some infantry for defense as it will likely be attacked) and start spamming out Pedator or Mammoth tanks using at least 2 war factories (3 if you got enough money to produce from them all) to keep production up, then steamroll the Nod base from the docks. The mission seems annoyingly hard on paper, though quickly capturing this base makes it laughably easy. Then send in engineers to capture whats left. Pop both turret hubs and the war factories. 8 tanks in total should do it - Approach the base from the southern hill, target the two outer laser turrets and push into the base. Don't bother reactivating the AA guns, just get foxholes with a missile squad behind each of the AA turrets.Īs for the rest, you'll immedietly want to assemble a tank group to neutralize the north eastern base. I hate the Croatia mission, though it is rather simple. Don't send them all out to hit the nuke when they are done though, you'll want to push them in slowly to take out the sam sites one at a time first. When you do start a offensive push, have a group of orcas in reserve - Whenever enemy reinforcements spawn in, move them over the defensive lines to do some premptive damage to the units before they start attacking you.Ĭlearing out the docks area will get you 2 Mammoth Tank reinforcements - You can merge them into a attack force, though it might be useful to keep a couple of them near the center 'cliff' so they can move in to reinforce either the main or eastern defensive line as needed.Įdit - Couple tips for the next missions, for Cairo you'll want to get 2 groups of Orcas up immedietly to neutralize the nuke before it launches. 4 guardians and 2 watchtowers (towers behind the missile foxholes, cannons on either side but slightly up from them so they'd draw enemy fire instead of the foxhole) would be able to handle most enemy attacks though it can still be overwhelmed by a reinforcement group. You'll want to push a surveyor into the upper tiberium field quickly and set up a defensive line there as quickly as you can - This line will be taking most of the attacks over the eastern line, so be ready ot set down a similar 3 foxholes - same units, though put them in a triangle with the snipers next being the rear point towards the field - and some stationary defenses. The eastern 'line' into your base doesn't really need dedicated defenses - Just throw down a few foxholes, outer two with 2 missile squads each and the inner two sniper squads. ![]() I assumed there would be no difference between the Steam and 360 version of this game, but nah.The reinforcement spawns can be a pita to handle, so while hitting the docks with a airstrike is tempting, don't immedietly go off and do that. Kind of sucks to have to personally go out of one's way to revert back to an older original patch of a game just to un♥♥♥♥ it. ![]() Then right click on C&C3 in your steam library and click Properties, then under 'General Options' click 'Set Launch Options' and type -runver 1.0 (That's a one time thing). I have put the files in the same file structure they need to be copied into, (the 1.9 versions will be there so it will be obvious if you have put them in the correct place). Since patches aimed to make the multiplayer more balanced but ended up making the SP unbalanced. Originally posted by dprog1995:It's the patches that have made the SP unbalanced. I think the mistake people make is either not adding the extra files in the 1.0 folder with CnC3game.dat or using a mismatched version of the cracked CnC3game.dat You need a copy of RetailEXE\1.0 folder (replace C3C3game.dat with a cracked version 1.0) and a copy of CNC3_english_1.0.SkuDef from the DVD install. You can revert back to version 1.00 from 1.09 by the method mentioned in this forum: It's the patches that have made the SP unbalanced. ![]()
